Our Story — Opeke Markets Shannon
Heta, a local artist, and his wife Sheree have spent the past six months warming the community with their much‑loved cheese scones and Cook Island donuts. Their kai has become a weekend favourite, with locals regularly placing pre‑orders to make sure they don’t miss out.
A special part of Opeke Markets is the connection between Heta and vendor Margie Sayles — childhood friends who grew up together in Shannon. Margie, a qualified international chef, has returned home with her hearty BBQ dinners and chef’s specials. She also offers pre‑orders, giving locals even more choice and convenience.
Together, these offerings help shape Opeke Markets Shannon into a place where kai, community, and hometown pride come together.
